How to Install Drivers for Brother MFC 8300

The S/W that came with the 8300 and that you would order in SAP is LE1060001
But the number on the back of trhe CD jacket is LE1062001 A
The name of the disk as seen in My Computer is "MFL Pro"

But when this unit was sold to the public it did not come with the "MFL PRO SW" this was sold as a stand alone unit.
To install the MFL SW suite you will need the "PCI-3CD"

To Install as Win 98:
Start with printer dis-connected.
Insert the CD and wait for the aniamation to run. (If it asks to install quicktime then do it)
Choose EXIT
Plug in the USB cable.
Follow the install. Choose "Specify Location" and direct it to the CD ROM drive: Win98USB
Continue to click next untill it gets to "Available ports" choose BRUSB (because it is a USB not paralell)
Then Next and finish.

Now run the SW on the CD to finish the install.
Right click on Start, choose explore. Click the CD ROM drive on the left.
Double click "setup.exe"
Click "Install MFC Printer Drivers"

To uninstall as Win 98:
Delete printer.
Start, Run, type "regedit". Select "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
Click Find, Search (or ctl F), type in "brother" delete all occurances.
use find files or folders to find "brother" Delete what needs deleteing
